AI Service Not Loading: Outage, Usage Limit, or Browser Problem?
A practical troubleshooting sequence using official status pages. Narrow down the service, account, browser, and connection before changing settings.
An AI service will not load. Before changing settings, read the exact message: an exhausted allowance, a failed sign-in, and a page that keeps spinning are different problems. A short sequence of comparable checks can help you separate them.
On September 3, a user reported problems with several AI services. A reply suggested DNS. Those observations justify investigation, but they do not prove a shared outage or establish a particular cause.
Check the official status page
Open the status page for the affected product:
Check the product, time, and update text. An API incident does not necessarily explain a problem in every app from the same provider. Conversely, a status page without an incident does not rule out an individual or newly emerging problem.
Is it a personal allowance?
If the interface explicitly mentions a limit, open that account's usage meter. Note the window and displayed reset time. Reloading the page does not increase your allowance, and a publicly discussed special reset may not apply to your account.
The AI Reset Calendar collects public special-reset signals; it is not a personal account meter. Our Codex usage-limit guide explains the distinction.
Separate browser and connection problems
Try the same service with the same account in another browser. If it works there, compare session state, extensions, and browser behavior. A private window can help, but extensions may still run there depending on their settings.
If possible, compare a second trusted internet connection. Success on only one connection points to a network difference, not necessarily DNS. Avoid changing the account, browser, and DNS settings simultaneously: you would no longer know which change mattered.
Protect drafts and completed actions
Save unsent text before signing in again or restarting. Before repeating an action, check whether it already finished in the background. This matters for exports, purchases, and messages. Repeated clicking can trigger additional actions.
When contacting support, include the product, time and time zone, browser, error message, and comparison tests. Remove credentials and private information from attachments.
Use guided troubleshooting
The LinkLoot AI troubleshooting assistant evaluates your selections locally and suggests next steps. It does not monitor services live or sign in to your provider. You remain in control of every check.
